Squaw Alpine announces name change to Andren Bowl

***** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *******

APRIL 1, 2021

OLYMPIC VALLEY, CA - The legendary ski areas formerly known as Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are pleased to announce joint operations under a new name starting May 1, 2021. The new name — Andren Bowl reflects the spirit and enthusiasm of three of the Tahoe Basin’s best skiers… the Andren Boys.

“Those Andren boys are real rippers, “ said CEO Andy Wirth, “it just made sense to name the West Coast’s best resort after them.”

Big changes are in store for the 2021-2022 season. A gondola connecting the former Squaw and Alpine will be in place for opening day and will be called “Reid’s Ride.” Additionally, Wolverine Bowl will be re-named Dino’s Drop and the Gold Coast Lodge will feature a peanut-free snackbar called CoCo’s.

“We’re excited to implement these changes,” said CEO Andy Wirth “and expect that everyone will ski their butts off without whining.”
